The Cherry Creek Cottage
Set among giant trees near the banks of seasonal Cherry Creek*, this cottage was home to several local families and there are still Young residents who remember playing here with their friends as children. Built in the early 1950's and used as a barber shop in the 1980's, it was then converted into a weekend retreat for Phoenix dwellers looking to escape the summer heat.
This historic structure received a complete renovation, inside and out, in 2019. The interior floor plan was completely updated and features an open living space, a queen bedroom with attached full bath, a walk-in closet, and a full laundry room. On the more forested side of the cottage there is a furnished screen room with a flagstone patio and cafe lighting. The front covered porch and fenced yard offer a comfortable place to soak in the peace of the surrounding countryside while enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Lauren’s cozy cottage is a perfect place for a couple. The place was very clean, a little fenced in yard for fur babies. There was a hummingbird feeder set up we enjoyed sitting on the patio drinking coffee watching them they were very comical. Very nice place to stay. We will definitely be back!
